Phlox ‘Intensia Pink’
* Common name:
Phlox ‘Intensia Pink’
* Botanical name: Phlox ‘Intensia Pink’
* What it is: An annual flower with small pink-petaled flowers that keep coming all summer. Heavy bloomer, rich color. Usually not winter hardy.
* Size: 15 to 18 inches tall, space 1 foot apart
* Where to use: Best grouped for a mass of color in a sunny foundation garden, especially out front or along a walk.
* Care: Keep watered the first few weeks, then tolerates dry weather well. Fertilize at planting and in mid-summer with Flower-tone or once or twice a month with a water-soluble flower fertilizer. ‘Intensia’ phlox is mostly self-cleaning, so deadheading not necessary unless you’re very neat.
* Great partner: Tall purple or blue annuals, such as angelonia or blue salvia.
